Welcome to Second Chance, a vibrant and inclusive charity that is deeply committed to connecting communities throughout Leicestershire. We believe in the power of unity, inclusivity, and collaboration to create a stronger and more harmonious society.
Second Chance was founded in 2012 by a group of motivated and enthusiastic women from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Our mission is to bridge the gaps between communities and provide a platform for everyone to come together, share experiences, and support one another.
We offer a range of activities and events that serve as opportunities for individuals to connect, engage, and contribute to their community. From sensitization and skills training programs to information sharing sessions, our goal is to empower individuals with knowledge and resources that will benefit themselves and the wider community.
Volunteering is at the heart of what we do. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to get involved and make a difference. By volunteering with Second Chance, you can actively contribute to the betterment of Leicester and its residents. Whether it’s lending a helping hand at one of our events or offering your expertise in a specific area, your involvement can truly make an impact.

During the summer break, our engaging and exciting summer schemes provide a safe and nurturing space for youth to thrive. We understand the importance of keeping young minds active, reducing idleness, and steering away from destructive behaviors. That’s why we offer a range of creative and self-development activities that will ignite your passion and help you discover your true potential.
Our summer schemes are packed with hands-on workshops and captivating sessions that cater to different age groups. From ages 5-8 to 13 and above, we have something for everyone. Get ready to explore diverse subjects and engage in activities that go beyond career development. Whether it’s sewing, arts and crafts, candle making, cookery and baking, games and sports, calligraphy, martial arts, archery, or even horse riding – the possibilities are endless!
By participating in our summer schemes, you not only gain valuable skills but also have the opportunity to interact with peers from various backgrounds. We believe that by coming together and embracing diversity, we can foster a strong sense of unity and understanding among Leicester’s youth.
